REGISTRATION AND RATES

Q: What are the rates for the conference?
Conference registration is complimentary. Conference registration does not include hotel or travel expenses. Please see the Hotel & Travel page for details on hotel rates and travel to the conference.

Q: Who can I contact if I have problems registering online?
Please email Dana Janosek with NorthPointe Meetings. Or, call +1 630 416 8801 from 08:00 - 17:00 CDT (14:00 - 23:00 GMT). You will receive an acknowledgement or answer to your email within one business day of receipt. 

Q: How do I change my registration?
To review or adjust your conference schedule, log on to the registration site using your personal confirmation code, which was provided via email after completing your registration. Once you are logged on to the registration site, click on EDIT MY REGISTRATION DETAILS.

CONFERENCE SESSIONS

Q: I am not sure what sessions to sign up for. Who can provide guidance on appropriate subjects for me to consider?
Please review the session descriptions on the Sessions & Speakers page on the event website. If you still have questions, please email Michele McEvoy, Conference Program Manager, or call +1 484 595 6332 from 08:00 - 17:00 ET.

Q: What if the course I want to take is full?
You can place your name on a waitlist and you will receive an email if a class opens up or when a seat is confirmed for you. You may also check for last minute cancellations on site.

Q: Will I be able to change my schedule once I'm on site?
You have a couple of options. You can stop by conference registration for assistance or use the ExchangeXtra mobile app to update your schedule on the fly. Sessions do fill up, so we recommend creating your agenda when you register for the best selection of offerings.

Q: I cannot attend the conference; can I buy transcripts from the event?
Due to the nature of the conference and the potential for sensitive discussions to occur, sessions will not be taped or recorded for purchase or distribution.

Q: What is the room rate for the hotel?
The hotel rate is €245 per night inclusive of all taxes. Breakfast will be billed at a rate of €42 per person per day. Additional rates may apply for additional guests per room.

Q: How much does parking cost at the hotel?
The daily parking rate is €40.00 per day.

Q: Can I extend my hotel stay beyond the conference block of Thursday 16 May 2019?
Rooms are available at the conference rate for the nights of 14-15 May 2019. Additional nights will be honored upon availability and may be requested in the Special Request field during registration. You will be notified by email within 4 business days of the request. Please note that room nights outside of 14-15 May 2019 may not be available at the group rate.

Q: Can I stay at other hotels?
There are no restrictions, however, participants have found it beneficial to be at the same hotel as the conference and other attendees. We encourage you to stay at our host hotel, the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski. Vertex has negotiated a discounted rate in anticipation that most attendees would stay at this hotel.

Q: Is airport transportation provided?
No, but the hotel is easily accessible from Munich International Airport. From the airport, a taxi to the hotel will take approximately 45 minutes and will cost about €65. You can also take the “S-Bahn” S1 or S8 which depart from the train station at the airport which is located beneath the main terminal. After approximately 40 minutes, you reach the stop Marienplatz, take the exit Dienerstrasse, walk down Dienerstrasse up to Maximilianstrasse and turn right. The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich is on the left-hand side. It is only a short walk of about 5 minutes from Marienplatz to the hotel.

By car:

Via A9 – Nürnberg
At the end of the Autobahn, follow the signs towards Mittlerer Ring Ost, drive through two tunnels and turn right at Tucher Park onto Ifflandstrasse. Follow this road all the way to the crossing with Maximilianstrasse. Turn right; the hotel will come up on your right-hand side.

Via A8 – Salzburg
At junction München Süd, follow the signs towards München-Ramersdorf. At the end of the Autobahn, drive towards Stadtmitte (city centre). You will be directed onto Rosenheimer Strasse which you follow until Isartor. Here, turn right onto Altstadtring. After 500 meters turn left into Maximilianstrasse. The hotel will come up on your right-hand side.

Via A8 – Augsburg/Stuttgart
Take the Autobahn to the end and follow the signs towards Stadtmitte (city centre). Drive straight on for about 20 minutes. (Verdistrasse - Amalienstrasse - Menzingerstrasse - Notburgastrasse - Arnulfstrasse). At Sonnenstrasse, turn left and follow the Altstadtring until Maximilianstrasse. Turn right. You will see the hotel on your right-hand side.

Parking at the hotel:
The hotel has a parking garage which costs €40 per day.

Q: Are group airfare discounts offered?
Due to people's desire to use their preferred carrier and the many low internet airfares offered, we have found it most cost effective for our guests to secure their own travel arrangements.

Q: What is the dress code?
The dress code for the conference and activities is business casual. The average high temperature in Munich during the month of May is 17°C/63°F.

Q: I am bringing my family to Munich. Can I bring them to the conference functions? Are there activities for my spouse/family?
Please understand the conference events are of a business nature and not suitable for spouses, guests or children.
