              Have you heard the news regarding the Supreme Court’s decision in the Case South Dakota v. Wayfair Inc? This session has been updated to include the latest on various types of nexus, and what activities conducted in state and local jurisdictions could create nexus for you. Once nexus is determined, learn the basics of sales and use tax; what situs is, tax types used by Vertex automated tax solutions, as well as tax exemptions and nontaxable tax exception rules imposed in various local jurisdictions. Expanding on the basics discussed in this workshop, we will take a deeper dive into state specific rules dealing with situs determination for intrastate transactions, full and partial overrides, basis rules, and tiered rates.
